60 psi boost gauge? you got some BIG plans your not telling us about? don't think you will get much needle movement out of a 60psi gauge when only running 15 or so psi.

It is a sticker, and I do have plans. I'll explain when I get home this evening. Hard to do this on my phone.
94, I went with glowshift because of the price and everyone I talked to liked the results they had. I was planning on doing a build at the first of this year, but I found that my bathroom shower has to be replaced and my roof needs attention. So my build is postponed for now. I went with the 60psi boost because it was the same price as the 30psi. I want to start by studding it and camming it. Step 2 would be turbo upgrade. Who knows, may need more than the 30psi gauge! I also got a 2400 pyro, same price as the 1500. Granted probably never need a 2400 gauge, but I did. This way if I ever did a COMPLETE engine build, the gauges will be MORE than enough!
So whats up with the glowshift gauges? I want to keep my dash gauges working, so where would be a good place to install my oil pressure sensor? Was going to just tee the original on the turbo, but it's different threads. The new one is 1/8" npt. I'm guessing that the stock temp gauge is 1/8" npt. Planning on teeing the water temp to use both of them.

94 I thought the same thing when I ordered mine, so I went the other way and ordered the vac/boost gauge that only goes to 30 lbs. I rarely see my boost over 5, so I am glad I did. It could barely move a 60 lb gauge!
KLA,
There are two ports right above your oil cooler that you can use for your oil pressure. They are both 1/8" and will have square topped plugs in them. The stock coolant temp sensor is 1/2 npt, so you will need to reduce the tee, or you can do what I did, and delete the coolant temp warning light switch, that is right below the coolant temp sensor on the front end of the drivers side head. (just follow the two wires leading to the front of that head) I left my dash temp gauge working, so i figure if I don't notice two gauges telling me I am overheating, that warning light isn't going to either! It is also 1/2 npt, so you will need a reducer to 1/8"
Also,
If you are thinking about even possibly doing that kind of a build later, I would ditch the Glowshifts for better US made gauges. I have them, and have had no problems, but my engine is stock, and I have the dash gauges working for back up on the essential info. Another thing, I had the triple A pillar gauge pods, and could not see the top gauge very well. You will want to put the least important or looked at gauge in that top spot on your four gauge pod, because you will need about three phone books under your *^& to read it. I am so glad I did this! I'm just saying!
i just teed into the factory set up for the my oil pressure gauge(didn't use GS for that gauge but same concept).
for the water temp you can use the big square pipe plug at that back of the drivers side head. that way the over temp light will still work and the factory gauge will still work.
also look forward to your build when you get around to it.
Mike, not haitin' really, just after having them for about a year now. i wish i had gone with a-meter's or isspros. these just look to "ricer" for my tastes. i have seen Isspro's in trucks at work and they look like awesome gauges. my trans temp gauge back light went out shortly after i got the gauge installed and now the light on the pyro always resets when i start the truck.
Thanks for all the info and advice guys. The pod does look cramped up there, but I really didn't want them anywhere else. That top gauge is gonna be high Mac. I'll take your advice. Thanks for the support.

I think you should have done a little more research before you bought... You'll need a serious build to need a 60 PSI boost gauge. I'm not sure anyone on here has pushed past 30 PSI on a regular occasion, but I guess it might be possible.
On the other hand, if you go past 1500° on the pyro, you will have already melted your pistons... So I'd return your 2400° gauge for a 1500° one. Just because it costs the same doesn't mean its better!
I'll agree with '94IDITurbo7.3 and akamacgyver in saying glowshift gauges look too ricer and seem to be inferior quality. Personally, I think they have an extra 'f' in their name. The pod is fine although the 4 spot is a little cramped as each pod is real short, but I personally would never trust the gauges.
