Window Regulator

Is there a truck to removing the window regulators. I was able to get mine out but it wasnt easy. Im wanting to get them out without removing the glass if possible but if the glass has to come out then it has to come out.

You don't have to remove the glass, which uses glass tape to adhere it to the window channel.

At the end of the regulator is a stud. A nylon window roller (COAB-6423240-B) attaches to it, then fits into the window channel.

Take the roller off, the window channel/glass will drop to the bottom of the door.

The usual reason why the window cannot be cranked down/up: The roller breaks, window falls down into the door.

If this has occurred, just replace the roller, you don't have to remove anything.

Bill, As usual is correct..theres one itsy bitsy thing he forgot though...theres a spring clip which holds the roller to the regulator...pop the clip out which is large and easily latched onto...pull it out then pry the arm of the regulator out of the roller while in the window lift channel and shove the window up...use a 2X4 or similar to block it in place.
the regulator is held to the door by the 4 little phillips head screws then it simply drops into the door and to the bottom. If in the process of removing yours the screws get hammered...which they usually do, PM me or if you need any other pointers :-)

I didn't forget the clip as it's attached to the window roller and I would assume once it was noticed, OP could figure it out.

The shaft is made as part of the window regulator and is only available with it. Reproduced by Carpenter, listed in his 1957/66 truck repro catalog (2011 paper version) @ $100.00 each side.

Applications: 1961/66 F100/1100 / 1963/69 N/NT/T500/1100 / 1967/69 F800/1000.

Heres the video, just click on the picture. Rotating the handle up or down triggers the motor. Still needs some perfecting but im happy it works

That's great exactly how I want mine to be using the stock handle crank as the switch mine will be on a crew cab so I was thinking about using a switch panel to override the door switchs if I ever wanted to roll any windows down while driving
