Need help identifying straight 6 motor in a 1965 f-100

Hey everyone, I'll be restoring a 65 f-100 that I'm picking up tomorrow. The gentleman that I'm buying it from wasn't sure what type of straight 6 engine was in the truck. I was hoping you all could help me identify which kind it is by looking at these photos. Thanks a lot!

240 or 300. The earlier sixes had the intake/exhaust on the driver side.

You can check the stroke through a plug hole.

240 stroke is 3.18".

300 stroke is 3.98".

Bore is the same, 4".

Unless you are going to get into the internals it really doesnt matter.

Everything you do for maintenence is the same.

The 4th digit of the VIN is the engine code. But who knows by now if the engine was swapped?

1965 F100/350: B = 300 1V I-6 / D = 352 2V / J = 240 1V I-6.
