Running an xtrons head unit that has a built in Microsoft computer and runs windows compact. Surf the internet, have windows office installed, can do all my work in the truck. Running 6 kicker speakers, 2 kicker cvt subs in the rear doors, 1000 watt amp under the 2nd row seat. Passes the time for me and the workers on the road watching movies. Also have digital tv so can watch the saints play.
Where do you run the wire to detect when you are in reverse?
Figured it out, either tap inti the reverse lights OR tap into the backup sensors. I'm almost wondering if I can save myself some work and tap into somewhere behind the sensor deactivation button.

if you're wanting to tap into the backup sensors, youre more than likely going to have to run your wiring clear to the back of the truck where the PAM module is, and even then im not sure its possible.
Tap into the reverse lights up front, much easier. I think theres even a reverse feed in the rearview mirror if you have the electronic dimming one...
Like others, I have a Kenwood head unit with GPS, rear view camera, etc. For those with them, ensure you're running the latest firmware on them. It makes a HUGE difference in response times and Garmin releases new POI and maps all the time. For me, the latest update was in October of 2013. MUCH faster and more responsive.
