You don't need to pop out the Upfitter panel. The blunt cut wires from those switch can be found over by your emergency brake and on the inside of the engine compartment by the fuse box. ( two locations)

It is pretty easy to connect by the emergency brake, run it down the door jamb and under the plastic door sill and under the body of the truck.

Here is the Ford SVE bulletin to utilize the upfitters (sorry it took so long, could not remember where I saw it at)

Far as running the wires the interior door sill plates unclip by pulling straight up and work well to run wires to the back of the cab (there is factory wiring there as well). If you look at the back of the cab (my crew cab anyway) has a groment in the driver lower corner on the back wall (will try to remember to grab a pic later) and I ran the wires through the large groments in the front wall of the box where my toolbox provided protection to them in my install but sans that I would drill and install my own groment elsewhere. Hope that is of some help!

Thanks for the help- looks like I'll save 1 and 2 for higher-draw items like maybe driving lights. The LED bed lights may go on 3.

I am looking at getting some led bed lights, any update on how the lights from auto zone are holding up? I know it hasn't been very long of a test but still interested. Thanks

Still working fine. I will certainly update the thread if any failures and or problems! For the money I won't be too upset if they do. Also installed a set on brother in law truck, so I'll have a few to monitor for trends.

Thanks for the update. I will be installing a set when I get the chance. For the price I don't see how you could go wrong. Probably could drink that much in beer during the install, or by that point, attempted install I think it would be.
