dusty dash

I keep getting dust on the dash, Is this road debri? I will clean it and a trip or two back and forth to work on salt ridden roads and the dash is covered again.. Run in defroster setting most of the time.

I haven't crawled in there yet, but i read there isn't a cabin filter.. Any options out there or documented mods to read up on to correct this problem?

02 f150.

Hi Dan,

What do you clean it with? Products like Armor All wipes will attract particles easily. This can be dust, dirt, crumbs, bugs, dandruff.

A dry cloth would get rid of the dust without attracting new dust but you would lose the shininess.

Otherwise try without the Defrost for a couple days. It could be dirty ducts that throw out the dust.

I use the armoral wipes.. It is thicker than dust.. I bought this truck about a few months ago and i just can not keep the dash clean. It is so thick i can write my name in it. I wonder it it is just dust from sitting from the previous owner.. It may be showing signs of letting up. I guess i will just cleaning it and hope eventually it will stop.

Sometimes you can add a cabin air filter to a vehicle that doesn't come with it. Not sure if thats an option on yours. That would solve the dust problem.
