So I went to start my truck up this morning n let it run for about 20 min started up fine just like usual n I came out n my tow/ haul light was flashing witch it has never done before so I shut the truck off then it wouldn't start almost like the truck wasn't in park. I got under and tapped on the sensors on the tranny then it started fine. Well when I was headin into town it was just jumping in and out of gear? It's never had a problem before never shifted hard or anything so is there sensors or fuses that would make it do that? Any help would be appreciated thanks!
So I think I got it figured out! Every time I unplug the fans sensor that connects to fan clutch it fixes my problem I don't think it is in my transmission now even when I unplug it the fan keeps goin so is there harm n keeping it unplugged and driving it till input a new fan clutch in it or should u not? And if its a simple unplug that's triggering it is it the fan clutch or is it in that wiring? If wiring how do I check it other then just looking at it?
the 12v ckt in the fan is ckt 361 it also feeds the trans (iirc anyway) the fan is turning but at or lower then idle speed in most cases and it would be overran by the engine rpm if left unpluged. the fan clutch should be replaced at once
