Cam Phaser, timing chains, vct....need advice!
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-horrible.html
I have replaced the cats, hollowed out the front cats then added the 94106 cat in the location of the second cat and moved the downstream o2 sensor behind that cat....no change. did this on both sides
Also replaced both o2 sensors on bank 1 which is where all the misfiring is happening....no change
it continually gives me code P0012 along with misfires on 1,2,3,4 plus a random misfire
pulled the VCT out of bank 1, cleaned with brake cleaner....no change
The VCT's were replaced about 30K ago, I had planned on replacing the cam phasers and when I ordered them the dealer decided I really meant that I wanted those instead.
Now I am thinking cam phasers, timing chains, guides, tensioners and anything else that effects cam timing.
I notice Rock Auto has Dorman cam sprockets....the picture looks like it is the same thing as a cam phaser. Is it the same thing, and does anyone have any experience with the Dorman ones?
Is there anything else I need to get?
Does anyone have any words of wisdom, tips or tricks for me?
