Can someone tell me if the egr is operating all the time. I have been watching my egr on SG and it doesn't seem to work until 170 ECT . Some times it doesn't start working untill I shut the engine off and restart like when I run into the post office.
I have watched mine and I don't see it start to do any thing
till I am past 150F ECT/EOT If one is below 150 no EGR.
This is on the warm up part of any drive.
Anything else going on ?
I have been watching the EGR operation since last week after I cleaned it ( p132b and p0402 ) code . I just thought it was odd I didn't see anything happening until after a certain temp. Or even after reaching that temp. Then shutting of the engine and restarting .
It also seems sluggish ... Press the fuel pedal and wait for it to move. But after its up to temp. Pedal is responsive from a stand still. Is there something else I should look at?
Not sure on that one. Did you read the stuff in the tech folder?
Maybe someone will chime in and say.
What weight oil are you running and when was it last changed?
The other thought that comes to mind is FICM voltages.
I have an aunt in Twin that is having a birthday coming up soon
and I know it's been cold down there. Because she says it is COLD
That leads me to ask have you tried plugging it in and see if it's better?
After that someone will have to give some more input.
I have about 2k on the oil change. Oil is a 15/40 delo. I watch FICM voltage like a second religion.
I've been pluging it in when temp is below 20 deg. And pedal response is better sooner.

Shouldn't use 15w40 below 20 degrees, really below 30 for that matter.

I have read the countless posts you have made trying to pound it into people's head about using the proper weight oil during spececific times of the year.
After poking around in the tech. Folder that I have the inferred ebv programming .
Are there any other suggestions out there?

And yet people still go against the advice. Even the old owner's manuals state not to use 15w40 below 20 and the updated TSB and owners manuals state 30 degrees.
