IAT vs IAT2 temperatures

I recently had the BPD diesel oil cooler and EGR cooler installed on my 06 6.0.
The old EGR blocked off But when I had the EGR cooler replaced I had a new EGR valve installed and the system returned to normal. EGR system is now functional.

While monitoring the engine PID'S while driving pulling a 9000 lb. gooseneck, I have noticed that the IAT temperature pretty much reflects ambient air temperature which is normal, but the IAT2 temperature are sometimes outrageous.

Last week a helped a friend move about 350 miles from here and on the first trip the IAT2 temps ran consistently in the 220 to 240 degree range with spikes to close to 300 on the hills. IAT where 66 to 83 degrees

I tried commanding the EGR open and closed in hopes to exercise the valve, but no difference while driving.

I then commanded it 0% which I assume is closed, no difference. I then commanded it 100% and the EGR temps began to run about 120 degrees higher than IAT1 temperatures and were consistent (within a few degrees) while driving either on flat ground or pulling hills.

Yesterday on trip 3, I commanded the EGR to 0% and the temps dropped to 10 to 20 degrees below IAT while driving and pulling the trailer.

My question for those that know, what are what are normal IAT and IAT2 temperature differences.

Tomorrow I plan on pulling the EGR and checking it and removing the IAT2 sensors and giving it a good cleaning.

That behavior seems normal with the exception of no change when EGR was commanded closed- unless the valve was closed already. IAT & IAT2 readings won't keep a consistent spread or have a mathematical relationship. One of the main functions of IAT2 is to monitor EGR flow.
Try doing a datalog of EGR position, IAT and IAT2 and maybe rpm (or MAF) for a reference. When viewed on a graph the correlation between the three should be apparent. Particularly EGR and IAT2.

IAT2 will never be below IAT.

IAT2
koeo=113
thru low and hi operating temp -40-250 temp
IAT
koeo =98.6
thru low and hi operating temp -40-250 temp
These numbers are off a list that Pilot displayed, I would think anything above 250 would be red line.
