Finally got these decks cut up and off the trucks. Between bad weather, bad health, Dr. appointments, tax credit documentation and appealling Government decisions I'm surprised I've gotten this far. So now the actual project can start, after the snow dump that we're about to get that is.
Big question; This character showed up looking for a job. He looks familiar and apparently he's well known in the U.S.. I checked out his refferences and they didn't pan out to well. He wants a friggin fortune and I can't afford him and now I can't get him off the bloody couch and the cats don't really like him. If you know who he is please let me know. He's got to have friends and family that will look after him. Theres a pic of him in my garage and in my library. Please help if you can. He eats to much for me to keep him around. Thank you

After a week of snow and crappy weather I finally got to work on my trucks, had to shovel snow first. Got most of the front clip off, took pictures. I've made up a couple of alblums to show what I'm doing and it's nice to see actual work being done. The one alblum is dedicated to the differences between the 2 trucks and what you'll encounter doing this kind of swap. Tomorrow is a brain day as I'm dealing with the brake and clutch system, this should be fun.

The cab comes off on sunday, only thing left to do is to unbolt cab mounts. Any resistance and its angle grinder time. I'll take pics to show you that 1 beat up old guy can lift and remove a cab with out a hoist or by doing damage.

Cab is off, actually it's sitting over the duallies, I,m running out of yard space. Used a bottle jack, my blocks, 2 x 8s and the trusty come a long. Now it's time to clean and paint the frame and re-up the front end.

Transferred cab from 78 to 89, have mounts prepped for mounting. Thought I was following Drs. orders on exercise program by being outside all day, but was'nt doing the 2 hour walk part and it bit me in the butt. 5 day vacation with room service and if I stay on track I can restart on tues/wed. Have pics added and more coming but theres a communication problem between my computer and anything online that I'm doing. Stress is not allowed right now.
Is there going to be a difference between the speedo cable gear between my np 435 and the zf-5 anybody. I dont mind changing cables, i just don't wan't to change speedometers. They appear to be the same but my blood pressure affects my vision when it's high enough.
