Well i got er home here is a couple ****ty cell phone pictures. Im going back tomorrow to pick up the front clip and the rest of the parts. The cab and front clip have no rust and minimal body work. The guy i got it from had started this project so the frame is really clean so im gonna pull the cab back off and primer and paint the frame and start rebuilding it. This is the first rebuild that ive ever done so any ideas or input are welcome.
Nice starting point how its already half torn apart and doesn't seem to bad of shape from what you said I've been working on my 71 crew cab but since winter came im at a stop because no garage keep updating your progress and take pictures always nice to look at good luck on the build
Looks good looks like a fun little project. What is the history on it an what u pay for it? Is it auto or manual & is it a A/C truck? What are your plans for it chrome, tires, engine etc..?
I went and got the front clip and tranny and transfer case today! Its all a package deal its all the same truck but some of the parts are in different places... long story. The truck started life out as a dually, so im told. The guy i got it from started the project and lost interest. Half is at his house, and the other half is at a buddy of his house. Anyway sorry for the, "MISPRINT", its a 79 not a 78, and i still have to go get the rest of the parts. Sorry for the long talk, here are some pictures of the front clip and tranny and transfer case that i went and picked up today. I paid 1500 for the whole deal! Also here is a picture of my 4yr old daugthers ride lol, (off subject i know but she wanted to be included)lol
Thanks!
P.S. That is Brook Burke! That is my theft deterrent lol! if anyone came in the shop to steal the truck or the harley or burn it all down that would probably render them speachless and motionless and i could catch em in the act! HEHE
Plus shes fun to drink beer and listen to good tunes with!
