Just seeing how everyone feels about Swamps IDM vs a stock120v SD IDM.
The IDM in the 96 is full of water and will need to be replaced/rebuilt. Fromwhat I have been reading the swamps IDM looks like it’s about the same price asa stock 120v IDM out of a SD. Plus swamps offers a one year warranty on theirunits.

Well the swamps IDM is suppose that increase both the voltage & the frequency SO it should be better than a stock 120v IDM of a SD, but the question is: it is worth? IDK
It is like 400 plus bucks ..But it is more than the resistor I beleive, it has another modification......I just paid a Computer geek to do 3 for me ...I paid 100 bucks for each one and parts (5 resistors) one was nfg so I have 1 resistor left...Shipping was like 3 times more than the resistor.....http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...594877?cur=USD was 80 bucks shipped ( 45 of that was the Special RTV) and I paid the kid 50 bucks...took hour 1 hr to do three so they cost me 150 bucks each total ....I had them all cleaned and ready to solder and then I did the sealing up....The write-up is on here ...most guys do it themselves but I don't mess with electronics myself ..I'd rather pay someone
Thanks for the advice every one. Found a 2000 SD with a 120v unit and it seems to be working good. Sending the ECU back to DP tuner for some softer transmission shift points and ordering O ring kits for the oil cooler and fuel filter housing.
Yes sir. I even saw he erased the mod from his signature in the last one I checked it, he now is in love with his 97 dually
I took it out of the mule and put it into the mare. When I'm done with the mare I'll update that signature. No, I didn't see any improvement over my 140 IDM. Maybe its doing stuff that I'm not aware of??
