I am wanting to add telescopic mirrors to my 2000 F250 Supercab Lariat. It currently has power mirrors. Are the telescopic arms manual? Is it just a quick connect and an easy exchange? Will I need to add another mirror controller? Any help on this would be appreciated
Yeah, it depends on the year of the mirrors you want to use. I have a 2003 and mine are manual extend and manual fold...and it's a King Ranch. The newer trucks have at least power fold...don't know about the extend function.
2008 on introduced the power folding/telescoping mirrors. And boy are they nice. You can actually fit them to your truck, but you will need to do some rewiring and get the switch for it. I'm pretty sure I have have seen some posts on it. I'm sure if you do a good search, you can find it. Otherwise, the mirror adjustment is electric, but the folding/telescoping is manual.
