Car has 125K miles and needs front end work. Looks like lower control arms with ball joints, struts, and outer tie rod ends. Shop quoted me $650 for parts, $200 for labor and a free alignment. Live in New York City Area. Does this seem like a reasonable price? (Also buying 4 new tires from this shop)
Doesn't sound too bad but how bad are your roads to need all this work done already? How many miles are on it? We have 256,000+ and have only done struts, twice, and new bushings in the control arms.
Doesnt seem like a bad price if you need all that stuff. My Mom took her Escape to a larger chain in are area and thay pulled the same things where bad on heres with 85,000 miles. She started going to Ford dealership for her oil changes and they tolder her that her brakes only had 5mm of pad left and to watch them.Thats all they found so shes been going there for over 2 yrs and she just had to do control arms because bushings dry rotted. And last month her tie rod end.Id get 2nd opionon
