Coolant Filter ??

I am installing my Dieselsite Coolant filter today and in the instructions , it doesn't say anything about lubing the rubber ring on the filter to stop it from sticking to the filter base .

Should I lube it and what should be used ??

Use a little engine oil or some Vaseline. Either will help it slide into place easily. Just a small amount will so.

I've always just dipped my finger into the degas bottle to lubricate the o-ring on the coolant filter.

Yup. Glycol is slippery enough to do the job.
