BURN IT TO THE GROUND
#46
Pulled the IDM out of a friends 01 sitting in the back yard and the truck fired right up and runs 10 times better. No loud dieseling or dieing. The truck also had power for the first time since getting it back on the road it felt like a DI turbo diesel .
Still have to track down a new IDM for the truck and figureout the ICP sensor. I had it unplugged and it kicked a code. I shut the truckoff and plugged the sensor back in and the code went away. There was a ton ofoil in and around the connector so I am positive it is leaking. I am justsurprised it’s not kicking a code with the sensor plugged in since its leakingso bad.

That is why I have 3 spare IDM's including 2 Modded ones .... I also wrap mine in Ice/Water Shield for this reason .....The last one fried in the summer it was over 100 deg. that day and it just started running like crap...no codes....Make sure you buy a OEM ICP not those 2 piece POS they sell on ebay,...make sure it comes in a Ford OR International Packaging.... with no package Do not buy it....I'm glad you got it working....
