And I was wondering what gains, if any, as far as mpg goes from cutting off my muffler. The exhaust already ends right after the muffler, and I know it will be louder, of which I don't care, but I was wondering if there would be a noticeable increase in mileage. And how would it affect my EGT's?
It doesn't hurt to help the IDI breath both in and out. Cut out the soup-bowl and that restrictive muffler are two simple and inexpensive ways, but the gains are small.
