Drip, drip, drip Diesel

I have a fuel leak at the top of my engine. I have searched the threads on here, and found no definite answer to my question. It appears to be coming from some sort of sensor, screwed into the bottom of the fuel filter housing, at the back. It has only one wire going to it, and looks to be a PIA to change. Could what ever that is leak? Its hard to see for sure, its buried under everthing. But i see a drip landing in the pan, right under neith it, with the enging running. What is it called? So if that is it, I could order one. And if that is the case, what would be a good idea to replace while I have it all exposed? Its a 95 F350 4x4, 4 door, 7.3 Power Stroke. And thanks for the help, in advance.

I bet is the fuel restriction sensor, and yeap in that position is hard to reach; you may just unscrew it and repleace with a plug and no more leaks.

It the fuel restriction sensor. You'll be better off pulling the fuel bowl out to replace it. I'd just put a 1/8" pipe thread plug in and be done with it.

Nope. That's sensor doesn't work anyway. I've had a filter so stopped up that it killed the truck and the filter light never came on.

If you search around you'll find plenty of info on it. Important part seems to be to keep in mind your threading into a pretty thin aluminum boss, with NPT threads. So BE GENTLE. Finger tight plus just a little more stopped mine from leaking with a brass plug in it.

I've seen the fuel bowls leak thru a porous hole in the casting.

They are super thin as stated.

My fuel pump was leaking.
