lately i have been having a significant amount of oil driping down the back of the motor, and i have an inch or so of fuel pooled in the valley, any thoughts of where it could be leaking from?
The most common leak would be that big sensor on the side of the fuel bowl. Fuel restriction sensor. 1/8" NPT plug from the hardware store replaces it nicely. Careful not to crack the FPR on the R&R if thats the case. Otherwise that thread you found is a good one to follow.
well it was easy to locate with it running. its looks like its dripping (pouring) right from the top of the fuel bowl from the filter, its nice and snug and only a half year old, and the rubber seal looks fine. and it has an occasional drip from that sensor. so just plugging it causes no problems? and just let the wire hang there?
though my filter is black, so injector o rings? and i seem to have an exhaust leak comming out somewhere below the turbo. up pipe gasket leak? these are proly the reason for my lack of power and low boost lately. darn.
the filter seems black its not that old, less than 5k on it and looks black like m y other, i cleaned the screen when i had changed the filter.
the filter ring was leakin even worse after i put it back in, so oiled it up and tried again and it was good, thats odd though, iv never had to oil it up before for it not to bind up/ leak
and i pluged the sensor too. i used small amount of black pipe dope, that should be good i suppose.
