P1148 code and charging light
I've got a 2005 f-350SD and the charging light on the dash has been coming on lately. it doesn't stay on long. A quick tap on the throttle turns the light out. I pulled the codes and it's throwing a "P1148 Generator 2 Control Circuit".
I didn't realize that we have generators and not alternators under the hood.
I'm suspecting it's time for a new generator but wanted to run it by the forum for feedback.

no. iirc the story i heard was alternator was a dodge trademark and later became a common "correct word"
