Tire question

besides lifting hurts economy, this is why i can't swap in a d60.i can't afford the lift in the rear to match the extra front height.already wish the truck sat 6" to a foot lower in the rear when loading and i'm over 6'.
thankfully i finally recently got a dump trailer for the larger stuff, but still always will be tossing stuff up into the dump bed of course as well.towing a trailer when you know your load will fit in the bed is cheaper on fuel to leave the trailer home.compromises.so many compromises.
You'd have to figure out just how many springs you need (or none with 4-link type setup?). And I'm not sure how it would effect the ride and handling. But then you could drop the bed right down until its basically resting on the tires for easier loading, then jack it back up again for travel.
I do agree with you about keeping the rear low. I did swap a D60 into my truck, which raised the front about 5 inches.... There weren't any blocks on the rear axle, so it looks like I'm sagging in the rear all the time, but I just don't want to jack it up and have to lift everything higher (I'm only 5' 6" so that doesn't help either).
My vans rear end sits very high, and it's a pain to load bodies in it from the back, or even get in from the back, and i'm 6'.
It sits on 235/85 tires though, with 10 leafs springs on each side.
I'd like to remove some leafs....but for some reason I kinda like the nose dive look.
