Help!!! Electrical problems?

Hey I have a 77 f150 I took the keys out and the truck was still running I put them back in and jingled them around and then the truck stopped. It also will die out of nowhere I am pretty sure I have a chassis ground that is going bad (so I have been told) I have no idea how to find this out??

Also sometimes I can't start it with the key so I start it with the solenoid and a screwdriver

My first inclination would be to replace the ignition switch.
