I sat the lights on the cab until I had a good idea of the spacing I wanted to use. Then I made a poster board template that had the hole sin it for the bolts and wires. I laid the template on the roof and used a pencil to mark the spots to drill. Next I drilled pilot holes for the sheet metal screws and larger holes for the wires. Here is a pic of the template.
I angled my outer lights a tad bc I thought it looked good. I didnt use anything to insulate the wires from the holes I drilled but if one of them ever rubs through, it will just blow my fuse. One things I did wrong was to use silicon to seal everything up, I need to clean that mess up and find out a better way to seal it up. My lights came with gaskets but they seem to trap water against the cab in the gasket contact area.
Looks good man, where'd you get the kit? I want to put cab lights on my truck but my wife said she wouldn't be seen in it with me if I did... lol. I would recommend putting something in there to insulate the wires from the holes you drilled... grommets can be had fairly cheap, or you could use some vacuum line that's split so you can put it around the wire. As far as silicone goes... I've had good luck taping off an outside border for it... put the silicon on, let it set up a little bit, run a razor blade along the edge of your tape and peel the tape up. Leaves a nice clean edge.
I moved some photos around and broke the links,so here they are again.
