1988 EFI 300 Bronco codes

I'm seeing KOEO 32, 67, 19 CM 29, 32 KOER 42, 32, 25. I recently replaced the entire exhaust system including the HEGO. It also has received a recent tune up and a new coil. Its been skipping, stuttering, a lot of popping and back firing and it came out of nowhere. I had some really corroded connections and grounds so I clean them up and a majority of the codes went away but these stayed. I know the EVP system is jacked up thanks to the PO removing the cat and plugging the tube that comes from it. My AIR tube is also leaking at every cylinder but those issues have been there since I bought it and it was purring like a kitten until recently with good gas mileage to boot. Really stumped here guys. I appreciate any help very much. Thanks in advance!

I have a FoMoCo Engine/Emissions Diagnosis Manual from 1986 and tried to look up some of your codes. It says 32 and 67 aren't possible codes in that test for that engine so I stopped at that point, figuring a 1988 book is best.

You can take your chances and see what oldfuelinjection.com (formerly fordfuelinjection.com) has to say but I've seen some cases where that site doesn't at all match the books, so, youz takes your chances.....

What you really need is this:

Engine Emissions Diagnosis 1988 Shop Manual Volume H Car and Truck: Ford Motor Company: Amazon.com: Books

If you have the 351 check the ignition wires and their routing. There was a TSB about crossfire IIRC but I'm not sure what years.

When my 300 started to run bad suddenly it turned out to be the MAP sensor and it never set a code. The truck wouldn't idle and would barely run at all. On my 95 the codes indicated a "lean condition". After checking other sensors and the reference voltage with a multi meter, I finally disconnected the MAP sensor and replaced it with a JY one. The truck ran immediately better so I replaced the MAP sensor with one from NAPA.
BTW the only time it set a MAP sensor code was when the vacuum line or electrical connector was disconnected from the sensor. When the electrical was disconnected the truck did run much better and would idle but acceleration was slower than normal.

I don't think I have a MAP on the 88. I have been wrong before though.

And I was wrong again. Found the sensor and unplugged it and it did not make much of a difference in the way it ran so I guess I will swap it out and see what happens. Thanks!

If it made little or no difference I would do more testing before buying a new MAP sensor. Borrow or rent a fuel pressure gauge and see what the system pressure is. One of your codes indicates an internal voltage problem so check your reference voltage and make sure your getting the 5 VDC out to the sensors that use it.

I did that and my ECT is getting 3.76 but TPS and other sensors read 5. I will keep digging.
