Pulling codes

Can anybody tell me how to pull codes for the late 80's EFI. I have an 87 302 Bronco EFI that I want to pull the codes on. I have located the two plugs (the STI single prong plug and the STO six prong trapezoid plug) and just need which to cross/ground for the codes. Thanks!

thanks, I tried that site but they say to only ground the STI (single prong) to the battery. This doesn't produce any tests/codes. Someone else told me they thought he must have left a step off.

Get a haynes manual, describes it perfectly or go to autozone they will do it for free.

Jump between the STI (the single wire) and SIGRTN, (the upper left in the big harness - it's a black wire with a white stripe). Then run a volt meter between the STO (the one below and to the right of SIGRTN) and the positive battery post. If your '87 is like mine, you will have to use a volt meter because the check engine light inside the cab is not connected.

Thanks! Will try it this weekend... and now that you mention it, I don't think my 'check engine' light is hooked up either (only the 'engine' light for the oil).
