I fixed up a recreation area at the local middle school. I put in a flower bed, planted Crepe Myrtles along the borders of the area, and sowed grass on the field. I had a total of around 150 hours on the whole thing, from planning to completion.
really? that's almost exactly what my friend is doing for his project. he's fixing up the "health walk" at our local middle school. my other friend is replacing the rotted sections of the boardwalk in our town. my troop has had too many eagle scouts, there's nothing left to do! hahaha
What bill? As far as my project goes, all the money was donated from local civic organizations and businesses, and in return, they all receive recognition for helping out.
Thats what I was asking. I didn't know if you recieved money up front from the Scouts or if you had to go out and hustle up donations or if there was a pool of donations to pull from. Just curious because I don't see much of stuff like this in our area.
Most of the other boys in the troop who got Eagle did fundraisers. I decided to do donations because it made the project go a lot faster and was easier not to have to spend extra time on planning the fundraiser, and I could spend more time on the project itself.
