good news from a supervisor today
I work on Wednesdays for my current supervisor, doing his job. I guess I have done well and have been noticed. Another supervisor came and asked me to talk for a few minutes.
She asked me if I were interested in Managing a new Group Home our company is starting. And said that,"We think you would do an excellent job."
I still have to go through the interview process against all other applicants, but I have the feeling they want to hire me. The happiest part of all this is... if I get the job, I will have made a major success in all the years I have worked the industry. They are advertising for someone with a Bachelors degree, which I don't have, but with my nearly 14 years of working in the Mental Health field, in a Crisis Response Team setting and helping maintain a Crisis House, they are willing to bypass the Bachelors degree and chalk up my experience. Plus I am already a half time salaried employee, so I have the advantage there.
This FINALLY means no more night shifts..unless someone is really sick and I can't get one of the other staff to work. Also, Monday through Friday!! It has been so many years since I have worked a good weekly schedule, I am about in shock.
Well, not to count my beans before I see the "your hired" paperwork, but I am pretty excited and just wanted to share my good fortune with ya all. Will post when and IF I really do get the position.

Thanks everyone. I guess when I posted I didn't realize it belonged in here. To the mods, sorry 'bout that. Was pretty excited and still am worked up. Now I'm at the worry stage, that someone else with more experience will come along.
Let me tell you... I do pray to the Maker often...but I think I'm beginning to get on His nerve...lol... been doing a LOT of praying lately.
