Well I did it. After 17 years of marriage I freaked out my wife. I bought myself, and wrapped, for Christmas a coffee maker. Never a coffee drinker mind you and set up an account at Deans Beans from which I ordered 5lbs of misc beans. Mud pie rocks. Got to say this stuff is pretty good. Caffeine anyone? lol
Have a great day

Enjoy your beans Hank LOL. Happy Thirsty Thursday Nor Cal! Excellent weather we are having. A wee bit cold, but otherwise beautiful. Hank, in about two weeks time I should be able to sell insurance. My boss called yesterday, and wanted to know if I would be done with the 52 hour course in two weeks, so I can set up an appointment to take the state exam. I told him I would be as I want to start making money as soon as possible. So now I will be spending most of the day studying this course, so I can get it done as quickly as possible.

Jim, just reading your post i can hear the excitement in your voice. i'm glad you'll be bringing in some cash money before too long.
Hank, were you having a cup when you typed that post? congrats on your big purchase. i've got some brewing downstairs right now.. thee days ago i had one of the worst cups of coffee at the siena spa hotel casino in reno. then, two days ago i had another bad cup of coffee at the meadows cafe at alpine meadows ski resort in tahoe. then, YESTERDAY morning in truckee, i finally had a good cup at the squeeze in restaurant. today, i hope to have another.
in other news, we are back from our trip and slowly unpacking bags, sorting laundry, taking down the tree, opening mail, and just trying to basically get back in the swing of things. snow white ran well but at 320 some thousand miles, she's starting to show signs of age. mild fuel leak at pump (coming from regulated return relief line), fuel leak somewhere at front of block, ESOF doesn't engage, small cut in rubber boot on Y, ... what else... she just needs some work. thinking i may just bite this bullet and take her to the dealership.
you guys have a good day out there! glad to be back and touching base with ya!

I had a cup of vending machine coffee at the Shandon rest stop on my way to Santa Barbara. Worst cup of coffee I'd ever had... But, it did help a little bit.

good morning gents. nice, sunny, and cool day here in the east bay it seems. gonna get the coffee maker up and running to start this day. Hanklin, have you ever heard of a shop out there in livermore called left coast diesel? if you have, have you heard good things about them? they seem to have a nice website and the reviews on yelp seem good. its time for my truck to go in... i'm just deciding where to take it. either mission valley ford trucks off 880 or LCD.

I only trust my truck to Charlie at Aabco in Liv. Good friend. I never heard anything negative about them(lcd) but if you do come out this way lets meet for lunch.

I notice that you come out my way from time to time. If you plan on heading out this way, maybe Carson City, Nevada? You could look up the diesel tech that I trust above all others. He is a diesel mechanic at Capital Ford and his name is Mike Morris. Really knows his stuff and is honest. I personally will name request for him to do any and all work that I need on my Super Duty. I'm due for a trans flush soon and it will be Mike doing that for sure as I can be confident that it will be done right.

Been a while. Last time PickNPull had half price day, I got a 3G alternator for my 67. Still lagging on putting it on. Need to get some bigger gauge cable to go to the batt, since it's going from 42 amps to 130.

Happy Sunday Nor Cal! Hope everyone has a blessed day! Got some rain here last night, so maybe I can find a puddle or two to jump in with the Bronco
