Evening Jim. Productive day here also! Got all the conduit run for the lathe and about half of the wiring pulled. I need to go to town tomorrow and pick up the bushing for the new motor pully and a set of three belts. Should have it up and running in the next day or two. Harley and I will spend most of tomorrow cutting down the old support poles for the steam lines, and getting them ready for the county to haul away.
The base looks better than it has in the last 40 years.....
I am thinking about a early/mid Oct. trip up there, the fishing can be FANTASTIC in the fall.
Haven't seen anything recent on it. Seems like either Lemolo or Diamond Lake take turns. If it is hot, there is the possibility since the Lake is only 52' deep at it's deepest point.
October is probably going to be out for me. A follow up exam at the VA, fall Chinook and hunting. But it sure sounds nice....................
Speaking of boats, what's everyone doing for labor day weekend? Taking mine up to my sisters cabin on Prineville reservoir. Hopefully get some decent bass fishing action.
You go right by my place on the way to Prineville Reservoir, I'm right off the road about 1/4 of a mile...
Lets see here:
2 of us = 8 fish per day X 2 = 16 fish p/day.
14 days X 16 fish = 224 fish.
I believe that will in fact leave a few for you Dave.
Resort website says a 28 1/2" 12.1 lb rainbow was caught, AND the algae is gone and water temps are cooling and bite is on............I hope your boat breaks down again.

(Just kidding)
The nice thing about what broke is that by removing 3 14mm bolts, dropping the lower and reinstalling said bolts............I'm back in action. Takes all of 10 minutes.
Just ran a series of tests on it. The tilt is working just fine. My son thinks it is working better now that it ever has. I know you can't hear the hammer knuckle near as much.
Those monster trim tabs are sounding like the flaps coming down on a 747 and that's great. Not really needed at Diamond Lake though.
I still have a couple of inside sources down there.....................and both front and rear sonar is up and running - now, what did I do with those depth charges?
