Whats the width and length,You natuarally are going to have to find the right person looking specifics, but that was me not to long ago,and cost factor will determine how fast it goes,,,500 dollars fair price, maybe more ,,just alittle.
It's roughly 7' x 8', with the hidden ball in the middle. A friend told me he usually only sees wider beds that are more for duallies on the old fords, this one fits a lot better. Dunno, it sure is handy having the flatbed...
just depends we live in the same area. a new bradford is right around 2300 right now. i have seen used ones bring as much a grand. biggest thing is what is it built out of how thick is the metal and the crossmembers. you have done some work to i see. with out really looking at it anywhere from 400 to 700 depending how heavy it is built.
"400 to 700 depending how heavy it is built." I agree although to buy the steel and build it /your time you are looking at a costly project. Right now mine is 7'4" x 9 .I am cutting it dow to 7x maybe 8'4".......Your flat bed looks great I would keep it if i were you,,,,,shoot you could pickup another dent complete, and down the road still have that valuable flat bed,,,,If you dont mind me asking I have a 75 highboy ,going to have 35 x12 wheels, was wondering outside wheel to wheel measurement,so before I cut this down I will end up flush outside wheels,,,I know im safe with seven foot,I just dont want to be too far out thanks
I like that diamond plate, much nicer than mine, with the mods i have to do to mine I am considering taking smooth plate steel off and replacing with checkerd plate as well.If your unsure about getting rid of it ,go high with price ,leave it on the truck and just shoot pics on craigs list,,,just a suggestion
I can pick up a decent older flat bed for $150 over west of me a few miles. Flat beds are always a toss up. Their over priced when your looking for one & not worth crap when selling.
When I look at a truck to buy I knock off between $700-$1,000 off the asking price when it has a flat bed simply because its going to cost me atleast $1,000-$2,000 to replace it with a good box
Personally I can't stand the looks of flat beds or step sides. I pissed away almost a grand for a rusty crusty short box because I hated the step side bed that I had on my truck
Around here I could see getting 400 or 500 bucks for it no problem. I never really liked the looks of a flatbeds personally, but they serve their purpose.
I've never liked flatbeds either, but since having it I have a newfound appreciation for them. Nothing like not having to dent the sides, I can fit a 4x8 sheet on it and still have almost 3' on one side to haul other stuff, it makes a great platform when needed and it's great for hauling scrap metal. I've got to pull it off at some point, whoever put it on just used angle to weld it to the frame. I don't think it would handle a gooseneck very well. If I pull it off, I'm going to clean up the frame, pitch the side fuel tank and install my 32 gal rear one and install my airbag helpers. That will make it a lot better hauler. Thanks for the input, I'm still gonna think on it.
