Price for F250 shortbed

Hi guys i have a 2003 F250 shortbed that I'm looking to sell and am wondering what I could get for it. Its black over grey two tone with a little bit of rust over the wheel wells that could be easily cleaned up. I want to make a custom flatbed for my truck to use for my car detailing business. Im thinking that for as rare as short beds are to find that I could easily get 800 to 1000 for it given the fact that I've found people buying beds a lot worse than mine for 1500 and more. Any input would be great.

The value of an object is relitive to what someone will pay for it. So its very subjective.
If the motivation behind your question is to get every dollar possible out of your part.
Then price it higher that whats reasonable and see if you get any takers....

If your motivation is to be fair and reasonable then price it for the cost of materials of the new bed...

The point is its all subjective... Good luck to you

Thanks Mark, and I'm in no way trying to screw anybody just want to get a fair price for it. I know i would be just as mad to be the buyer and have someone pull a fast one on me. Looking at LMC truck bed sides are about 500 per side, plus, body work, welding, paint, god knows what else. Im putting the question out there more as to what somebody would be willing to pay for it (honest price of course).

The best advise is to see what comperable beds are going for and value it that way... As long as you are honest in the discription about the condition you will never screw anyone.

But like i said price is based on what someone is willing to pay...

It's interesting to see the difference in truck configuration popularity in different parts of the country. Down here in Texas, short beds are everywhere, probably equal to the number of long beds.
