C4 fluid required

We're in the process of putting a 300 straight six into a 1976 F100. The transmission is a C4 and we lost a lot of fluid pulling it and putting it into the truck What is the total amount of fluid required in this transmission? I think the converter didn't lose any if that makes a differance.

C4 = 11 quarts including the torque converter. 1964/76: Type F / 1977/83: Mercon.

Any idea how many quarts in the torque converter?

Maybe 2 quarts.

Add about 4 quarts if it isnt showing on the dip stick. Once everything is installed run the engine in park and start adding fluid.
