choosing a programmer

Hello, i have a 2008 Ford F-250 5.4L superduty. I was thinking on getting a programmer. which one do u guys recommend. thanx!

Welcome to the site.
I tried the Superchips Cortex and had many issues.
I ended up with a SCTx3 from Mike @ 5 Star, the Eco tow tune works out best for me.

I highly recommend you contact 5 Star tuning. I have had great results with my 5 Star tunes.

I couldn't say specifically for the 5.4, but another vote for 5 Star (recently purchased for my 6.2). Excellent service and support.

I gotta get some video of my truck on the 93 tune, such a drastic improvement over stock.

look around for a laptop computer tuner in your area. I have a five star tuned SCT on my 5.4 and it didnt do much of anything really. Im in the process of trying to sell it and after the new year im having a laptop tune put on my truck!

I have seen a lot of posts praising the five star on the v10, but folks with the 5.4 seem unimpressed for the most part. I looked into this in a lot of detail for my own 5.4, and I cannot find anything that folks are really happy with...lots of complaints about wasted money.
