I've been wanting to clean up a little under the hood. Would love to see pictures of everyone's engine and some tips on how you got it looking of so nice, and to keep it looking great. It makes it easier to work with everything when you can actually tell what is what and everything isn't coated in a desert tan color.
^^Same, use some simple green and hose it down. Obviously try to keep away from electrical connections as much as possible. Some use armour all after, just soak everything down with it, the armour all will make everything shine. Cleanup your IC pipes, add some color accents and it will be looking good. I still have a lot more plans for mine (just haven't had the time and money lately). I plan to get a new degas bottle, and clean things up a bit more.
Simple green, soak, rinse with low pressure water. Once it is dry, I use a discontinued product called Teflon Tire Shine (I came across some in a Big Lots after it was discontinued, so I have a little supply to last me for a while longer).
Cover your relays and open element air filter with plastic bags before hand.
Do NOT forget to remove the bag from the air filter before starting your engine!!
Your link didn't, but as long as it's Simple Green, and doesn't have warnings about using it. Purple Power is a no no. Too caustic. The brand name Purple Power.
