52 hood hinge/stay

Hello everyone, scouring thru boxes of parts I am still lacking this part, It is not the hood hinge I guess but rather the stay. It has the springs attached and helps to hold the hood up.

Does anyone have one drivers side. I dont want something for nothing but would like a fair price for a rusty old hinge/set of springs. Condition un-important as long as its usable.

I am pretty sure these are all the same no matter the model as I believe the hoods were all the same and so the weights would be the same, please correct me if I am wrong.

Did these things actually work, I find it hard to believe these will hold that long heavy hood up?

Thanks to anyone that considers helping me with this!

Do you have the hinge that mounts to each side of the cab?

I have a few (pairs) of the springs and at least a pair of the hinges that mount to each side of the cab.

Yes I do have the hinges that mount to the sides of the cab. I just need the one stay with the springs

I'll have to see if I have just a single driver's side without it being in a pair.

Thanks, I cant justify spending that kind of money though needing only the one hinge. I think I have come up with a solution though and will report back later

In retrospect I would like to add that the asking price for the two hinges mentioned in prior post was not un-fair or outlandish, I simply do not need two hinges though and so the price is higher than I wish to pay
