hey guys today we installed egr delete stc update new intake gaskets and blue spring but now my truck is running very cold I cant get it up passed 167 degrees for my oil temp and my coolant is sitting at 160 degrees would this be caused by my thermostat being stuck open?
You may have an air bubble in there. A damaged
sender or a bad T-stat. But you need to use some gauges not the ones
in the dash.
Give the upper rad hose a squeeze and see if the level in the tank
goes up and then drops lower after you let go. I understand that
it can take a bit of time if you don't use a vac fill system.
Last time it took me a week to get the bubble out after I had the
hoses off.

Yeah im using my cts and thats the tempts it gives me eot 167 ect160. Is there a quicker way to get the bubble out or do you have to just wait and hope it works out? the outside temperature isnt very cold its only-1 celcius
Your just North of me. We are getting COLD rain here in Tacoma.
If you can gets your hands on a Vac fill kit that would help remove the
air. If not you could use a system tester and instead of putting it under
pressure. Just use a hand vac pump to pull a light vac on it.
This Youtube shows how it done.
I can verify that if you are getting 165ish on both temps, it's the thermostat. I just changed mine. I am monitoring the coolant level waiting for the air to burp out, since it took less to fill it that what came out when I drained it (by about a half cup, not much).
came in this afternoon I live 1.5 hours from the nearest city center so had it shipped up. So I got the t-stat and installed and bam both temps reached 190s pretty quick so id say it was a success thanks for the help guys?
