351 Tranny options.

I have a 351 from a 75 thunder chicken and I wanted to know what tranny options I could have. Auto or manual.

Are you sure it's a 351 and not a 460?

Very unlikely it's a windsor so that leaves you with a big block bolt pattern C6 or 4 or 5-speed manual.

It's likely a 351M, or a 400, so it'll have either a C-6 behind it or an FMX. If it's got a removeable bellhousing, it's an FMX. Good transmission, but getting hard to find parts for it. It will not have a manual transmission. If it does, it's an extremely rare car.
