I am pretty new to this 2002 truck of mine. I have been stuck in the 80's as far as trucks go for a while. I can't get used to the dimmer for the headlights being on the column. Was thinking of converting it to the floor like my old trucks. What do ya think? Might call it the old school headlight mod.
I'm in and out of my 70s trucks and my superdutys and never had an issue stomping on the floor of my psd or tilting the column by accident of my 90 truck.
Up to you buddy.
Would be easy though.
I'd just buy some heavy duty diodes and tap into the high beams. Then you can have low beams on with high beams, and your multifunction switch still works properly.
Reading from your initial post I was thinking a Termmy HPOP or injectors to bigger tires but its all good. Somebody back a few years was talking about that, might want to search here to see if they attempted it..
Yeah, I thought for sure you were ready for a T4 kit and a new turbo... We gotta fix those leaky up-pipes sooner or later!!
I dunno, after 260k miles drivin' my dually and about 40k miles in the X - I guess I'm used to the hi-beams where they are......
As **** as I am about wiring, I still recognize every 'mod' is a compromise to the OE system. I have considered using one of those switches for the driving lights, but I usually put them on a SPDT switch where they are 'on', 'off' or 'on with hi-beams'.
