Vacuum motor?

Vacuum motor?
Looked in the few posts that came up when searching....
Should the vacuum canister hold the vacuum level once the truck is parked for a while? All my systems work as they should so there seem to be no leaks. The motor runs for a short time frame each morning when first started but never notice it any other time.
Other vehicles I have had with this type system seemed to hold the vacuum over night.
One of those things that make you go ....hmmmmmm.....
