Did you replace o rings on both fuel filters? Did you cycle the key a few times before starting? Check for leaks where you did the blue spring? Might just go away with a few start cycles. I've never had a light from filters. Have not done the blue springy....
Yes I replaced the o rings on the caps of the fuel filter housings.
I always check for leaks after breaking loose something like this.
I will check again tomorrow when I use the truck.
The filters themselves have an o ring that's internal that was present.
Yes I cycled the key 3 times. I listened for the fuel pump and when it shut off I turned the key off and did that three times.
Then I cranked it over to start it. It started right up. No long cranking.
I only unplugged the sensor on the intake pipe right next to the overflow bottle. I believe it's the MAP or MAF sensor. The air filter sensor I just removed it from the housing.
No other plugs or connectors were removed.
It has me stumped. If it doesn't go out soon I'll hook it up with my friend.
I would still go around and check all the plugs on top. Even
if it was not removed it could of been bumped. Also check the
wiring harness around where you were working for chafing.
When I did my blue spring upgrade, I didn't plug in the MAP/MAF? sensor
all the way (the sensor on the air intake next to the oil dip stick).
I started the truck and got the engine light.
I then removed and properly re-installed the MAP/MAF? sensor and used
my SG2 to clear the code. You may have to just restart a few times
OR your sensor is actually not connected....
Its the Mass Air Flow sensor. Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor is connected to the left side of intake manifold. You got a fuel press. gauge hooked up? there are some sensors around the filter housing. id say recheck EVERYTHING. find out what code its throwin with SG.
Ok, the CEL went out on it's own. Drove it around and made several stops.
The engine starts sooner than before. I do tow a fifth wheel camper so it will be interesting to see how it performs next summer.
