: 2008 F150 XLT 5.4L will not start. It does crack over.

Help Please! Not sure what to do next. This is a list of things I already checked.

1. Replaced fuse #9 for fuel pump.
2. Checked fuse #9 with check light, power to both sides is good
3. No check engine light
4. Battery is 1.5 years old. Just in case I charged for 1 hr.
5. Replaced fuel filter. Possible clog in fuel line.
6. Detached fuel line at fuel filter, turned key on and fuel came out of line. Seems like fuel pump is working.
7. Every time I can hear the fuel pump prim when I turn the key.
8. Relay#1 starter solenoid, I swapped with relay #2 and also replaced
9. FPDM replacement, I removed and it looked to be good.
10. Light checked all fuses, only fuse #5, fuse#35, and Fuse#36 did not have power. These fuses don’t seem to have anything to do with starting or fuel to the engine.
11. inertia switch check is good

While cranking and not starting,
does the check engine lamp stay on or turn off?

put the key in the ignition and turn to "on", not start.... the THEFT light will come on for 3 seconds, AND the fuel pump will run for 3 seconds........... does the THEFT light go out after 3 seconds ? If so, then the key is recognized by the PATS receiver and being proper.... if the light stays on, you have a KEY or ELECT problem, not gas.

Thanks for the feedback, I got the issue fixed. It was the crankshaft sensor. I did not realize this sensor had anything to do with starting but now I do.

you never got any code ? Crank sensor is a very important part of the timing system.

Does Ford use a code for the 2-wire CKP sensor on our vehicles?
I mean, if there is no CKP signal, the PCM prolly figures the engine is not running.
? ? ?
