Different Starter on '07?
Buddy and his '06 ccsb was parked next to me and my '07 eclb. I noticed when he started his it sounded different, so I cranked mine over quick. Sure enough our starters sound nothing alike. Other than the cab configuration, only difference is mines a six speed. Did they use a different starter on the 07's? Its only got 28,000 on it so i doubt its been replaced before. Any thoughts?

I noticed a distinct different 'tone' when I replaced my starter last summer. I went with an aftermarket starter and it revolves faster and it's higher pitched. Maybe your buddies truck had a replacement at some point.
