steering columm swap
good day will a tilt columm from a 79 reg cab swap into a 77 reg cab? i tried the search but nothing came up i am looking at buying a 77 f350 scs
but would like to swap the columm out and install cruise also please advise thank you

You can find schematics for the wiring on the Fordification site that should get you most or all of the way. I think there are some side pics in the main wiring diagram that show the cruise wiring.
Other than that it should be bolt in. At least I'm pretty sure.

I believe there's no problem, i just recently put a 79 tilt in my 73 , bolted right up. Wire harness was the same and works right , but it was not a cruise control column. The only thing i did different was to get rid of the rag joint, which was worn pretty bad and looked like crap. I replaced it with a ball bearing steering U-joint for about the same cost and gives it a cleaner look.
