Converting Cruise Control
I have a 77 F250 Supercab, (2wd, power steering) and came across a 77 regular cab (2wd, power steering) with factory cruise control in a junk yard. I would really like to get this and put it into my truck.
I have done some searching around trying to find out exactly I would need to take to convert over. It appears that I need column, wiring harness and what looks like a control box under the dash. Will this wiring harness plug into my existing harness? Will I need to make major electrical changes?
Does anyone have a good write up and or diagram that shows what to do with this?
Thanks :+)
Bill
I have everything you will need information wise to do the swap over with little trouble.
I have a couple of threads with a complete list of what one needs in them.
Here's one of them.

Unfortunately you have the hardest year for this unless you go with a 78/79 tilt column.
You see.,.... the Turn Signal switch for a 77 with cruise control is NO LONGER available anywhere.
So unless the turn signal switch for the 77 w/cruise is good..you are SOL.

Sounds like more than I want to deal with. Thanks for the reply :+)
If anyone is looking and wants to deal with it, the truck is at the Ecology Auto Parts in Chula Vista Ca. Baby blue 77 single cab.
