I have a craftsman garage door opener and 1 of the safety reverser sensors failed.Its mid 1990's and has the older style sensors that have a hole in the middle to mount them and green led. My question is can i substitute a set of the newer style craftsman sensors? Im havin a hard time finding replacement older style sensors, but can find plenty of newer ones, but dont know if the newer ones will work my opener.

 

If they are two wire I would expect so. They are basically just a switch. You might have to do the pair.

 

Do a search under the brand name, description, then plug in the model number. I have been able to locate tons of replacement parts for a large variety of items. Try this link...
