Good morning, I recently bought a G-Force chip for my 06 F-250. It is supposed to tie into two wires on the MAF/IAT sensor. My chilton manual doe not have a diagram for this. Can anyone tell me which 2 wires i need to connect to?
You run rich and burn more fuel. Eventually the oil becomes contaminated with gasoline from the rich mixture, causing the film of oil to wash off your cylinders, shortening your engine life. This also causes your catalytic converter to burn out and clog.
If you want more torque, get different differential gears. If you want to reprogram for more power, contact 5 Star.
Even if it did yield some mpg's and/or torque, they're not going about it in the correct manner. 5 Star is the way to go.
EDIT - from their site:
We have developed a system that is able to intercept and reconfigure the
signals transmitted to the ECU. This enables us to essentially reprogram your ECU to attain
maximum efficiency meaning better gas mileage and more power to the ground. The chip is able
to work dynamically with the ECU meaning it will compensate for the current load your engine is under:
•When you are full throttle your engine load is increased dramatically over normal freeway cruising,
so the chip tells the ECU to compensate for the larger volume of incoming air by injecting more
fuel into your engine and advancing the timing, giving you increased overall horsepower
•When you are cruising on the freeway or in the city the load on the engine and incoming air
is little so the chip tells the ECU to use less fuel in order to achieve maximum fuel economy
It seems to work for some people and not others. Which makes me wonder if they are hooking it up correctly. I would like to try it and see if it works for my truck. If anyone can help with a wiring diagram, that would be great. I will post my results!
Quoting myself from the last guy that asked about GForce chips...

As for the GForce I hate to say this but...

thanks Denis
Reading those posts I would bet most of the ones that claim it worked are seeds from the company or trolls trying to make trouble. Sorry that thing is a bit of a far fetched joke as has been said a number of times here and everywhere else. A least it is only a $69.00 oops though.
Well said, it's only a 69 dollar oops. I'll chalk that one up to lesson learned. I don't want to take a chance on ruining my trucks computer. Thank you for all your help.
Save the extra $$$ and get a SCT X3 tuner- and get some custome tunes from Mike at 5 Star Tuning. This is hands down the best bang for your buck mod you can do. It will make your truck a whole new animal. This tuner with custom tunes is amazing. he also rewrites the transmision stratagy & shift points to how you like it.
