So this is my first truck, 2000 F250 CC and ive noticed if im sitting at a stand still I cant turn the wheels without reaaalllyyy trying. But as soon as I roll a little it cranks just fine. Is there any tricks or anything I can do to the truck to make stopped steering easier? Thanks all!!!

The short answer is NO.
I've got a 2004 with the same leaf spring front end. I've replaced the following:
1. All four Ball Joints
2. ALL tie rods and drag link
3. power steering pump
4. Steering gear box (Red Head box)
5. PS Fluid (Synthetic ATF) and filter
And it still doesn't want to turn very well at a stand still.
Slight roll forward or back and it turns great now. Before all the parts, not too well.
I've read that these trucks have a lot of "scrub" in the way the steering is designed. I think that means there is a lot of binding and resistance with the front wheels turning while not rolling. Someone with more knowledge will have to explain that further.
Big tires dont help. I'm only running 285/75R16's so those aren't the problem I believe.
