You know how after you turn a corner and your front wheels kind of self center without much assistance?
Well my truck quit doing that yesterday out of the blue.
You have to turn wheels back straight or it will continue the turn.
Steering links all look good, no play.
Took off steering stabilizer, that didn't help.
It doesn't steer harder, so I don't know if pump is giving out or not.
Sounds like something in the steering geometry has changed. I would guess balljoints.
If it started it all of a sudden you definately have something broke or worn so bad it needs attention.
Most likely a binding tie rod or ball joint. Jack the front end up & turn the wheels from left to right by pushing on the tire (truck not running, steering wheel unlocked). It should move pretty easy. If not, start taking off tie rods until you find the problem (start at steering knuckles first).
UPDATE - I changed the Drag Link yesterday. I did not see the movement in the pitman connection until the other day. The combination of the "toe" being off and that connection was the problem. Obviously it doesn't take much.
