their are plugs on the pack side of the rear brake drums on the bottom. you need an adjustment spoon. make sure not to tighten them to much or you will somke the brakes. i disconnect one brake cables set it, then adjust it to were i want it. then i do the same other side. then hook both cables back up

Hmmmm... not saying I disagree with you, but... just trying to remember.
I know on older model vehicles, that used to be the procedure for adjusting the brake shoes themselves, however, there used to also be a threaded adjuster link on the brake drum end of the emergency brake cable itself where it attaches to the brake drum. I will have to take a peek at it tomorrow and see if anything looks familiar.
My park brake pedal goes almost all the way to the floor. It has ever since I bought the truck. I wish it felt a little more snug. Might have to adjust it too.
My parking brake is great, I have to use my heal if I want it to the floor.
Only issue when I do that is it makes a loud pop (the pedal) about 75% down but haven't taken the time to see what causes that.
I use it all of the time, usually set it first before parking and especially with a trailer.
It holds a 8,000 lbs trailer.
I have long wondered why my LB 11' f250 had so much slack in the parking brake. I have to press half way to the floor before any tension is felt, all the way to the floor to hold just the truck, but it does hold my 7500 trailer on steep hills great, when pressed to the floor.
I believe the issue is the cable attached to the brakes. My father in laws three sb f250's, two 11' and one 12', are much tighter. SO, I would like to know if someone can describe how to take up cable slack without causing the shoes to pull against the drums.
Curious, is your slack parking brake on a long bed or shortbread? My guess is most will be on long beds.
goes all the way to the floor. can someone post pics of the process or is there somewhere online I can see? The brake has been going to the floor since I purchased the truck and barely holds on a 5 degree incline.
